The pages are sturdy enough to survive my toddler's enthusiastic page-turning, and the bright diya illustrations immediately caught his attention. We've already read it three times tonight, and he keeps pointing at the sparkly cover.
My 18-month-old grabs this every night and flips through the chunky pages herself, the diya illustrations really catch her eye. Simple enough for her to follow but colorful enough to keep her engaged.
The illustrations are bright and my toddler points at the diya lamps, but the text is thinner than I hoped for a book about the festival. Works fine as a quick bedtime read, just not much story to it.
