The double-sided design is such a clever idea, my kids flip it over to find all the underground burrowing animals after finishing the tree-dwelling side. Pieces are thick and sturdy, and nothing has delaminated after weeks of use.
I picked this up for my 6-year-old and the double-sided thing turned out to be the best part — she does the burrowing animals underneath first, then flips it over for the tree dwellers. The pieces click together nicely too, no peeling on the edges after a few weeks of use.
The 100 pieces are sturdy enough that my 7-year-old can handle them without bending the corners, and the underground burrow side is such a clever touch. We've done it three evenings in a row now, flipping it over for a fresh challenge each time.
