I’ve read it to my daughter three times already—the pages are thick enough for her to grab without tearing, and the mix of leaders feels genuinely inspiring for a toddler’s first Black history.
Bought this for my 2-year-old and she already points at the pages when I say Dr. King's name. The board pages are thick enough that she hasn't torn one yet, which says a lot.
My nephew loves flipping through the sturdy pages, and I appreciate how it introduces real historical figures like Dr. King in a simple way. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that I wish it included a few more modern leaders.
