My daughter has been asking where every state is since we got this, and the pieces are big enough that her little brother can join in without losing them under the couch. The colors make it easy to spot the regions while we talk about them.
My 7-year-old finished this in one sitting and immediately wanted to do it again, which says a lot. The state shapes are chunky enough for small hands, and she's already pointing out where grandma lives in Florida.
The 100 pieces were just the right challenge for my 7-year-old, and I love that she's picking up where each state sits without realizing she's learning. The colorful map has held up through three rainy afternoons already.
