The 48 pieces are just the right count for my 3-year-old to feel like she's really doing it herself without getting frustrated. The dinosaur art is colorful enough that she keeps pointing out the little T. rex while she snaps pieces together.
Bought this for my 4-year-old and she can actually finish all 48 pieces by herself, which surprised me. The pieces are chunky enough for little hands and the dino illustration keeps her coming back to it.
The pieces are chunky enough that my 3-year-old can grab them without help, and she'll sit through the whole thing twice in one sitting. The little T. rex artwork is genuinely cute, not the creepy cartoon kind.
